about

Why “zero measures”? It’s because I do not use any measurements. I tend to go into a rabbit hole of researching recipes online, and note all the necessary ingredients and steps. But ultimately, I gage how much of everything I use. I’ve actually never been the type to taste as I go, but I think it’s because I’m familiar with my own taste buds and so the end result is always perfect for me. When it comes to cooking, I believe that everyone is capable of eyeballing measurements and if it doesn’t turn out right, you can most likely save it!

Rather than this being a typical recipe or food blog, this has really turned into a recipe diary for me. The journey started during my years in college when I had my own kitchen- I was constantly baking, cooking, and writing as a source of procrastination. After college, a lot of my speed in the kitchen has come from working alone at a high volume cafe where I had to multi task everything for an entire shift during rush hours. What started as quick and easy meals has now grown into being inspired to recreate restaurant dishes with unfamiliar ingredients and techniques.

Fun fact: My interests in cooking and baking started when I was just a kid – my eldest sister would give me tasks to assist her in the kitchen for the recipes she was following. It was something I always looked forward to doing with her and still do ❤️
