Can’t believe this has been under my drafts since June 27th of last year!
Ingredients
chinese sausage
dried scallops
dried shrimp
dried mushrooms
oyster sauce
soy sauce
sesame oil
white pepper
(optional: xo sauce)
Directions
1. Soak all dry ingredients in water for at least two hours or overnight. (Optional: Stir fry sausage and shrimp until fragrant)
2. Cook rice: Add all ingredients, along with the water that the dried ingredients were soaking in.
3. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
Tips:
– Do not soak rice beforehand
– Simply cook the glutinous rice the same way you cook white rice
– Squeeze out excess liquid from soaked mushrooms to measure accurately
– If the rice still seems wet after cooking, continue to cook for longer until the perfect consistency
