I’ve decided to make these for this year’s Thanksgiving! It was inspired by Red Lobster, because I heard it’s popular.

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
garlic powder
salt
1/3 cup cold butter
3/4 cup shredded cheese
1 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine all dry ingredients.
  3. Cut butter into small chunks. Using your fingertips, mash the butter through the dry mixture until crumbly.
  4. Mix in cheese and milk.
  5. Store batter in plastic wrap and put in refrigerator to cool. When ready to bake, use a cup or mould to form biscuits.
  6. For the garlic butter topping: add 1/3 cup butter, some garlic powder, oregano and salt.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes. Broil for 2 minutes. Yields 10.
  8. Spread garlic butter on top.

Notes

  • Use a generous amount of cheese! I used a mix of a cheese blend and gouda.
  • This can also be done in an airfryer at 400F for only 12mins
